|
Marinating Meats: When marinating meats, It is highly recommended that salt is not used. It is preferable to use a variety of herbs and spices to bring out the best flavours. For example, if you are marinating a flank steak, I would suggest soy sauce, ginger and garlic in healthy doses, and a bit of thyme. This combination of spices can truly bring out some amazing flavors. It is best to allow the marinade to sit for a few days to allow the complete blending of herbs. Another helpful hint, is the addition of wine or lemon will assist in breaking down the enzymes to tenderize the meat.
